Restore your skin’s youthful glow with microneedling!
This minimally invasive treatment stimulates the skin to repair and rejuvenate, producing the collagen that gives it a full, plump, youthful vibrancy that can last for months. Take years off of your skin with just one microneedling session, and book appointments regularly to train your skin to look younger, longer.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a procedure that uses very fine, short needles and inserts them into the skin for the purposes of stimulating repair and promoting skin rejuvenation. The needles create microscopic punctures, similar to pinpricks on the surface of the skin. This process stimulates healing in the tissue as well as the production of new collagen.
What conditions can be treated or improved by microneedling?
- Mild to moderate acne scarring (new and old scars)
- Fine Lines and wrinkles
- Loose, lax or dull skin
- Skin texture and pore size
- Stretch Marks
What to expect
First, your esthetician will cleanse and prepare your skin for treatment. Then the procedure can typically be performed quickly. A numbing cream will be applied to minimize discomfort and there is no required downtime.
Post-treatment, your esthetician may apply custom serums and finishing products to enhance results and infuse youth-boosting active ingredients. Immediately following micro-needling, your skin may experience some temporary tenderness, superficial swelling or redness. Side effects usually subside within a few days, but your glowing results will last for weeks!
Before & Aftercare
Avoid other invasive procedures or professional exfoliating treatments about two weeks prior. A few days before your appointment, discontinue any at-home exfoliation including use of Vitamin A or retinol products.
After micro-needling, your skin will be more sensitive, so plan to avoid excessive exposure to sun or heat or anything that can cause you to sweat, such as a vigorous workout. Only apply gentle, soothing and hydrating products according to the instructions of your esthetician.
Results & Maintenance
One micro-needling treatment can produce instantly plumper and more radiant skin. However, a series of multiple procedures is recommended in order to see more prominent and more long-lasting results. Micro-needling can be performed every four to six weeks, as needed. How often you need treatment will vary depending upon your skin condition, concerns, and goals.
If your goal is true skin transformation, conditions like acne and aging respond well to consistent, regular microneedling treatments. Studies have shown that skin treated with four microneedling sessions spaced one month apart, resulted in a 400% increase in collagen and elastin, six months after completing the series.
